Dr. Lauren Kilroy-Ewbank is an art historian with a mission to make art history more exciting to everyone. A former tenured professor and award-winning educator, she brings the same passion and knowledge that defined her academic career to writing engaging non-fiction about topics as broad as pirates, Disney history, and archaeological discoveries.
She has worked as a consultant for museums and television. She writes non-fiction focused on art history and pop culture. Most of her current work focuses on Disney. For over 20 years, she has been cataloging the art-historical references embedded throughout Disney Parks and films.
Before writing non-fiction, she was a tenured college professor of Art History. She has a published scholarly monograph and two edited volumes, as well as numerous articles. She has also produced hundreds of public-facing videos and essays to help make art history accessible.
